Copywriting and Creative Direction

As a side project with some friends, I’m planning a citywide, one-night-only event we’re calling Denver Dance Hall. In addition to being a founder of the initiative, I’m also our Creative Director and Lead Copywriter.

Denver Dance Hall is an attempt at reviving the in-person meet-cute. It’s both a dating event and a dance party, a chance to talk to strangers and (hopefully!) meet your match.

Our mission is threefold. We hope to:

  • resurrect spontaneity by transforming strangers into friends (and maybe more) through music, movement, and mingling

  • celebrate Denver through intentional partnerships with local businesses and historic spaces

  • build community by giving Denver singles a new way to date and connect with their city

This is a completely self-motivated, volunteer project. My friends and I started it because we wanted to make the event that we actually wanted to attend. Ticket prices cover the costs associated with the event, and any unexpected profit we happen to generate will be donated to charity.

That said, there’s still a lot of work that goes into something like this! I act as our Project Manager, running point on task delegation, administrative to-dos, and leading communication with our partner, City Street Investors. I’m also our Creative Director and Lead Copywriter, spearheading all of our brand-related efforts. You can check out my creative work on our website and Instagram page

(Denver Dance Hall is slated to happen on 12/4/25; I’ll update this page as things develop.)
